Offering a unique assortment of vintage furniture and home accessories, Paula Roughen and Merle Bedell, hand paint most of their furniture using their favorite colors from Annie Sloan’s chalk paint.
They specialize in finding unusual items to accent your home decor from their shared love of all wooden pieces. You’ll also find wonderful totes, boxes or bowls that blend well with modern furnishings, and original paintings by Paula.
Paula offers “room redesign” and accessory placement services, and is great at creating designer spaces on a budget.
Merle and Paula met through a mutual friend 8 years ago. Lakewood 400 provides a natural market for their business.
Merle, who hails from Alabama, retired from the legal industry and lives in Buford with her husband, John. They have two sons and five grandchildren.
Paula, from Mississippi, began her career in the retail luggage and leather goods industry. A trained florist, decorator and artist, she now raises her daughter, Blair, who has inherited her eye for design. The Roughen’s live in Alpharetta with their very spoiled Wheaten Terrier, Leo.
