Kemp Designs January 18, 2012

Posted by comeintomygarden in Industrial.

Kemp is a designer of industrial-style furniture and lighting.  He believes that today more than ever, a designer’s primary objective should be to create and repurpose objects that not only enable people to live more comfortably, but to do so without harm to the environment.  Every object Kemp designs, fabricates or repurposes reflects his beliefs.

Exposed to antiquing early in life, Kemp grew up in Chicago, the son of an antique dealer.  He studied Interior Design and Architecture at the Harrington Institute of Design in Chicago.  As a designer, this visionary combines his love of antiques with his respect for the environment and turns industrial castoffs into incredible furniture, lighting, accessories and art.  Kemp is in Hall G 454 at Lakewood 400 and also welcomes customers by appointment to his studio in an airplane hanger in Suwanee.
